It might be helpful if some of the girls gave us an insight, not so much into the early days of their transition, but how they cope with things on an everyday basis and how the everyday world in turn reacts to them.

What's it like when you're dressed down, in the supermarket, the high st, on public transport etc?

That will give a much more realistic picture of how things stand now than relatively irrelevant discussions about how good the girls working in porn look.

You mean like me and thousands of other TS do every day?

There are plenty of us TS girls who have never worked in escorting or porn. I went to collage and achieved 2 degrees, and now have a fantastic job in advertising. And I did all of this after my transition as a woman. All of my co-workers know who and what I am and they don't care. I have my own home in a nice neighborhood where people accept who I am. And there are thousands like me. We just don't have websites announcing who we are.

This is not the golden age for us yet. But the day will come. We are far more accepted today than we used to be. And it WILL get better. A TS girl can do anything she wants, and be whatever she wants. She only has to want it.

Stealth should always be plan A. But the truth should be the goal.

When I first applied with my company, I never told anyone what I was. I got hired and went to work. One of the guys there wanted to date me and I kindly turned him down. It was about 3 weeks into my employment and I had a good bead on everyone there. I became friends with a few of the girls and one day at my house, I confessed to them. They didn't believe me. So I whipped it out and they almost fell off their chairs. They seemed shocked at first, but kinda grew into the idea and they were cool with it. One girl just stared at my dick. She got up, walked over to me and just gave it a squeeze, then smiled and said, "It's warm". Then she was convinced.

It was only a few weeks after, that one of them spilled the beans and everyone knew it in minutes. The guy who wanted to date me, thanked me for not embarrassing him, and he accepted me. A couple of people were strange around me at first, but they got over it and I was accepted by all.

Stealth works if you shut your mouth and don't date anyone there. But I firmly believe that the truth is always the way to go. If they don't like it, fuck them. They'll get over it sooner or later after they run out of stupid jokes. As I said, this is a far more accepting society than it used to be, but there is a long way to go when TS are in the White House. LOL.

This isn't a dig at you Freddie, but a more general one for a lot of the guys on the forum for whom looking at ts porn or discussing it on a site like this is their only experience of the transgender world. Even those who have been with escorts, with all due respect to both parties, are only skimming the surface of the real world for most ts girls.

Like I said, I have ts friends here in the UK who pass successfully, hold down good jobs and are also in stable, loving relationships with men, even to the extent of successful adoption of children.

The porn and glamour world is the 10% of the iceberg that you can see. Most girls just get on with it. Their transition is no less traumatic and painful than the girls you see on a forum like HA, but they are the majority, and when they gain full acceptance, and it's already happening slowly, that's when the social wheel will click forward a notch.
