If the budgets and revenues were there for more content to be produced then undoubtably it would be happenning, so whether this is due to piracy, economy or bad business planning, that's a different topic.

Franklin doesn't like what he calls "gonzo" scenes, which are cheaper to produce and appeal to a lot of people, so companies would err towards them. He also prefers his porn to be American which is more expensive then other imported content and he only likes the top, big-titted "shemale pornstar" type models of which there is limited supply and often over-exposed. There is only so much available revenue of people wanting to spend on this type of material. Other people want the more gonzo approach, or non-Americans, or brand new models, or models earlier in their transition. It's impossible to keep everyone happy all the time and with less total revenue out there, there will be less productions in all of these areas.
Even some of the sites which are the Granddaddys (or Grandmammys) of the industry seem to have cut back on their productions (or more expensive productions) recently.
This may just be a trend because of financial restraints going on right now or it may be an indiction of where the overall business is going and the glut of material that's been available over the last few years may become known as "The Golden Age of Shemale Porn".

cost is a big hurdle indeed when shooting high quality hardcore scenes ...for me to shoot a hardcore scene exlclusively for me its like £300-350 pounds for a female/ts model, then photography fee, maybe location fee if i need to shoot elsewhere from my own location..

Take in the editing time, hosting fee, billing provider cut etc ..you can see why gonzo/pov is so populer for models/producers to shoot.. i would love to shoot full on scenes with 2 cameras, exquisite locations but its just not viable the ROI isnt there for a website vehicle ..... compared to what i can make just simply sitting on my webcam in my bedroom for half a day ... when you consider you can make £1000+ in a week of webcamming...it kind of shames what you make shooting porn as a model as this is from the comfort of your own home .. no travelling etc.

I disagree with your statement about "gonzo" porn. Storyline porn is in. The vast majority of the major companies are making big bucks off of storyline porn. I don't see how gonzo is so much cheaper. If Grooby simply had a script and used the same settings how is that more expensive?

You also failed to mention that some transsexual companies have not shot certain girls. Sometimes this is due to problems from both parties.
