Hmm... Here's how I feel about this:

We as a trans community aren't living the ultimate American dream when we in fact can be legally terminated or denied employment in over 35 states in what we call "the land of the free." - I don't understand where someone's sexual orientation or what's between their legs has to do with ones work performance.

With ABC Family now launching "Work It" - it has caused an uproar for those who are up to par with politics. Secondly, I don't find our lifestyles to be any sort of "comedy" - and honestly, rather than promoting the fact in a negative image, they should try making a diffrence vs. making the trans community look worse than what it already does.

Since when did our lack of freedom become a comedy? -- An absolute disgrace and by far, not the "family" show I'll be watching.

ABC's 'Work It' is a modern take on the Tom Hanks' 1980s sitcom, 'Bosom Buddies'.

They lead characters in 'Work It' are CDs, not TG.


The general public uses the term 'transvestite', 'drag queen', and 'transsexual' interchangeably which is a big part of the problem.

This show is about two dudes who dress up as women to get work. They aren't transgendered.

Corny and outdated IMO.

What I hate with something like Work It is that they dont even try to get someone who is remotely passable. Surely one of the two could be a bit more feminine looking so that it at least had some vague sense of plausibility. They dont have to be good looking but if they looked vaguely like an ugly girl it would work better. I've seen more passable girls in SNL sketches than those two

really the whole idea is taken from one of the most Successful American Films still to date "Tootsie" which hello it's the same fucking basic story of man looking for work as a woman, All the TV networks base show ideas off of books and movies that made alot of money! until there is a real TS movie that makes it to the top of the charts we're all gunna be stuck with Tootsie being rehashed over and over! Maybe they will at least have some real Tgilrs mixed in the show! If anything it will educate the close minded and possibly start a whole new generation of crossdressers maybe even some new tranny's will come out of it!
