Pedofilia is a pretty common part of the argument in favor of repression. Of almost anything.

I don't know who Rebecca Haglin is, but I don't think she would ever let the facts get in the way of her missionary zeal. Most incidences of paedophilia take place within the family, it is one of the family's dirtiest secrets. Marriage and the family has become an ideal condition which we are all suposed to aspire to, like owning your own home and sending your children to university. Its universal too: I once read an account of a Turkish transexual's early experiences, being buggered by an uncle and then other male relatives and neighbours. I shudder to think what happens in parts of the world we dont often read about, but whoever this woman is, she needs a lesson in love, so absent from the discourse these religious zealots visit upon paranoid peoples.

What about you, Russtafa, are same-sex unions something you approve of, hostile to, or not bothered one way or the other? Australia seems to me a schizoid place, half don't care, the other half dont understand.
