How long is too long?

For all the men that date girls, how long would you wait for sex? I like to wait at least five dates before I give it up. However most guys are ghost after they don't get it on the third date. Am I wrong to assume that they were never genuinely interest in me. I'm bi and date both man and women and sex is usually not an issue when dating girls. However, I'm thinking about changing my approach when dealing with men. Is it unreasonable to assuming that any man would wait that long for sex?

I'd wait until she's ready if I think she's worth it. There is still a limit though, it's just unfair to the guy to just keep stringing him on. If you are interested in a guy sexually TELL HIM SO and also that you like to wait don't tell him how many dates, because he'll rush to that number to get in your knickers quicker. As long as he knows you ARE interested in bedroom fun but need get-to-know-you-time, he shouldn't have a problem. If he loses interest after that, wasn't worth the effort in the first place.

Definitely depends on the chemistry but, in general, if nothing is happening by the third date I start to wonder if she's really into me or just dating around and seeing who's out there. Of course, that all changes quickly if she just tells me how she feels on the matter.
Case in point, I just had a date with a girl I really like and I know she'll want to wait a while; and I'm completely happy with that. But it's contingent on her being emotional available.
