I agree. But it will only happen if and when Murdoch pulls the money plug.

Not entirely true. If ticket prices continue to rise then it could happen regardless of that that egghead does, as the price of the match going experience continue to rise, whilst players wages continue to rise....... the clubs suffer more and more. The cash on the gate/matchday profits is the bread and butter with regards to physical cash and cash flow, what pays the bills. The players, staff etc expect to get paid weekly or monthly or whatever. The fees for player tranfsers, sponsorship even the SKY/TV money is paid in balloon payments, scheduled lump sumps, bla bla. . So you Take away/reduce the clubs matchday funds and its the beautiful games own little credit crunch. Mr Murdoch will not save the game hes fucked up...

    I can assure you this!

Thought Suarez had a good return against Man U last night. Fully fit, he might have made the result different.

Liverpool properly in the mix this year, Sammi?

Another weekend of fascinatingly unpredictable results.

Too early to predict that the Premiership is genuinely up for grabs this season?

    LMAO - "skywankfest"

Arsenal look likely to progress furthest in CL. Both Mancs are abject - City just crap, Utd in long-term transition, Chelski inconsistent at best. Celtic robbed by a shit refereeing decision against Barca. Bayern look even better under Guardiola. CL probably between Spain and Germany.

Spurs could benefit, look good all round and Everton under Martinez look strong too after good transfer business.

Without the distractions it could be a good season for Liverpool. Fingers crossed.

Of the newbies, they'll all struggle, but Cardiff look likeliest to survive.

Outside the likely top six, Southampton and Swansea look good and play attractive football too.

In the meantime I'll wait till the Six Nations start up. Now that's real sport.

Now that I see the fair Sammi gracing these columns again (see what I did there ), I wonder what she thinks of the Premiership with just over 1/3 of the league programme through.

Arsenal, Man C, Chelsea. Maybe Liverpool in the mix. Man U in transition and turmoil, Tottenham unable to score goals, the rest there or thereabouts in the middle. Sunderland, W Ham, Cardiff, Fulham, Palace for the drop. Signings in January?

And while none of them covered themselves in real glory, except arguably Man C, all four English teams into the knockout stages of the Champions League.

    Thoughts, anyone?
