    Default Bloody Football!

It's been going in Scotland for two weeks already, and Rangers have been dumped on their arses out of the Champions League before the big guns have even thought about it.

This weekend the Football league starts a new season and next week it's the return of the Premiership.

    Thoughts, fears, predictions?

Or is the realisation that it's back again so soon making you gouge out your eyes with toothpicks in frustration?

Yes, much as I like football, a game I played as a youth (in goal) the season starts too early, and should be suspended in January -something that will not happen because of the money.

I think Arsenal are the top team most likely to slip, the defence is still unreliable, and although Wenger has done wonders with Wilshere, Ramsay and Walcott, the team is still in transition. Manchester City will continue to irritate purists but lose too many games; Chelsea is an ageing team, but still hard to beat. As a one-time Tottenham supporter I think they will be continue to do well but promise more than they deliver. That leaves two teams: Manchester United should have no trouble winning the league, only Liverpool can upset the recent balance at the top. They look and sound like a team with new purpose, but probably have the most to live up to. I am not as enthused and excited as I once was, but I am sure there will be some good games.

    Nothing is Liverpool fault
The media will overhype any minor trouble and ignore all the violence by egg chasers

Don't forget Aussie Rules, mate! Fuck, that's the nearest thing to war without weapons that I've ever seen.
