I think the main issue with transsexual porn is that there is NO mega company nor network. Look at straight porn for a second. Straight porn has many mega companies and networks such as Brazzers, Naughty America, Bangbros, Reality Kings, Hustler, etc. Gay porn has Suit 703 and it is owned by Naughty America.

Transgender people have allways been a part of the sex industry and will allways be. And I do not only mean since 1972. In 17'th centrury England there was the molly-houses where men came to have sex with male prostitutes dressed as women (they was later baned though). In 13'th century england there was trans gender prostitution, acording to court records and even bishops is soppose to have been the johns in those days. When you look at world history, prostitution is one of the ways that was open to transgendered people to make a living along with other forms of intertainment. Even in places such as the christian middle ages where it was forbidden. Probably because there was a demand for it.

Porn is essentially a voyeuristic approach to sex, so in terms of visual stimuli via pictorial representations or verbal descriptions of sexual activity, porn has been around for as long as books have been written. Porn in moving images via film and arcade machines etc has been around for just over 100 years, but there are certainly no grounds for claiming that it started as an industry only when video became available in the 70s and 80s.
