Personal experience - I'm just a little biased against the notion that parents are needed past the age when a person can take care of themself. Put another way: parents, nice to have but not necessary! (other than for the obvious of course)

Horses for courses, I suppose, and it depends very much on your home environment. My parents were together till the day my dad died, they had a close and loving relationship which they shared with us, and now that they're both gone, I miss them every single day. So at a purely practical level I agree with your post, but on an emotional level, no.

Getting back to the reason for this thread. Natasha started out doing a nice thing for the dads here on Fathers Day. Is it possible to have just one nicely intended thread without people fucking it up?

I got balls for days. I sit on them all the time when I get in my truck and I've pinched them accidentally between the seat and the rim when I sit on the toilet more times than I want to remember.
