I missed you too, and I know you were worried because I got your email, but I didn't answer because I was in serious need of detachment. I don't think there's a member here who doesn't understand that. On top of that, I've been a political warrior here for nearly two years straight and nearly every other girl here has a bloodlust for me, kicking my figurative ass every time I take a stand on something that more often than not, can only stand to benefit transpeople as a group. Nobody else seems to want to make a sacrifice. That takes a toll over time. I'll never sell out my principals, but I really needed a break.

Part of my introspection was determining where that line is and right now I'm convinced I'm a product of my environment as it pertains to HA. In fact I've always wondered how nobody has ever seemed to consider the possibility that I do what I do because I feel it's necessary. My break from this board has been quite, QUITE relaxing.

I don't want to go through this all over again; it's been played to death. It just bugs me that people still don't see the big picture. Show me kindness, respect, and respect for the community, and I'll reciprocate in spades. I haven't seen that yet and I've been here almost 2 years.
