My advice -- stay in shape, learn spanish, and don't be intimidated.

In Mexico they guess my age at 38 and I just shrug.

Well, I'm in the 50+ club, just barely. There are some girls (admittedly a minority) who prefer older guys because we tend to be wiser, emotionally mature, and we have a lifetime of interesting experiences to draw from in conversations. Of course it's important to stay in shape, as perrorojo said. And it helps a lot if you have been successful in life. I'm too modest to brag about myself, plus it would be pointless since I'm not here to impress anyone, nor am I trying to break Wilt Chamberlain's record for number of girls. I'm just pointing out to the guys approaching 50 that you may have something to look forward to if you have cultivated success. With the "right" woman a younger guy cannot compete. On the other hand, 70+ doesn't sound so great .... but whaddya gonna do ?
