    Hi phobun,

Theo is a vey good example, he was a great intelligent guy who foresaw the problems with immigrants and dared to adress them...

The influence of islam in europe to date has not been a possitive one...because of the crisis and increased criminality in those minority groups, and the large amount of them living of wellfare has made people angry across the land...

Not so much coz they beat up gay and transgendered people and bully them out of their houses, it had been going on for a long time and it seemed no one really cared...

When the economic situation of europe worsens, tolerance will decrease also...by both muslims, christians etc, coz people dont understand us and we are a minority we are easely hated

i would like to goto my old renunion this summer but i know it would kick off .. and the fear i have is getting into a punchup as i am somewhat aggressive with idiots ... and i cant really afford to get my face decked in with my line of work ...

other than that i have been lucky in that i have full support of my family, family friends etc, though i lost all but 1 of my old school friends, friends before transition .. but then i have made new friends now ..

My parents now introduce me to everyone as their daughter which to me is most amazing thing ever ..

I recall that an Italian TS I used to know who lived in a primarily Muslim area of East London was hugely harassed by young teenage Muslims boys. They would taunt her nd scream insults at her. She old me she ws afraid hey would phusiclly assualt her.

But not all Muslims re prejudiced in this way. Some escorts who've worked in the Arab world will asure you their best nd kindest customers re Arab Muslim men. it is a particular strand in islam - which is common among young Muslims in Europe - which provokes this hostility. The intolerant Salafist or Wahabi trsditions. They are the ideas that dominate in Saudi Arabia and also amid the Taliban and in the tribal border areas in Pakistan (where many of the UK's young Muslim immigrant population have their roots.) come from.)

    oy
i grew up in area where me transitiong on my own doorstep would of resulted in my parents, family, younger sister, getting grief - bricks through windows, comments, general shit - combined with the fact i couldnt deal with rejection from people who i had have good memories with, whom i classed friends (i was popular enough even though i hated myself- my personality saved me from a lot of shit) whom would have struggled with me being me - not cos they are bad people (well not all of them) simply because they dont know any better and i didnt fancy trying to educate the masses.

When I started transitioning I prety much just dissapeared. I cut myself off from my former friends and such. I kept a couple of friends along the way but not on purpose, which Im thankful for I guess.
The first time my family saw me as a girl was last thanksgiving, which was the hardest thing ive even done in my life btw, but it seems like everyone got through it. Last time I saw everyone ,it seemed somewhat normal, so However, not everyone in the family has seen me so far. Every once in a while someone will show up and my dad will be like, "yeah, shes a girl now." lol
I will not be going to any kind of reunion. just too frakin weird.I tracked down an old friend of mine last year to explain why I just kinda fell away from all of them, not really sure how it went. We havent talked since, but watever. Its for the best I guess. At least Im beautiful and have a lot of great friends now that really know me.

I'm so impressed by the courage you girls have shown against all the odds to become who you are. It's genuinely inspirational, and the fact that you can report it in such matter of fact terms is tremendous too.

This is the 90% of the ts iceberg that most of the guys here never see. Perhaps if they did there would be less hate and more understanding.

Prospero and Birgitta, I agree that there is still far too much hate and dare I say fear directed towards transsexual individuals by some sections of the community across Europe, but as I've stated (optimistically) on another thread, there are some positive signs which show that through legislation attitudes are slowly beginning to change.

That said, I know I don't live with the day to day problems and threats of gay and transsexual people, so I really have no right to comment.

It simply makes me admire you girls all the more. All power to you.

I visit a gender clinic every now and then and there is a big variety of girls to be seen there, the girls in tporn are obviously usually the pretty ones, but thats just a small number of the tgirls out there.

Ive heard many tragic stories and of a lot suicides among tgirls...amongst gay guys also...just two weeks ago a good gay friend of mine commited suicide...

i dont think many admirers really have a clue what its like to be a tgirl, and that their sexual desires and their need to be open minded often does not really serve a lot of tgirls...because they project their desire on the tgirls and expect them to accept the identity they give them...

some of them behave like feeders that are drawn to overweight people...lol

Heh, i cant talk about my "old" life since im still living in it! I live next to the most hateful neigbours ever, if i come home they stare at me and when im inside i hear them laughing. >.<

And the annoying part is how they always hang around our appartment, so when i come home or go out, there is always 3-7 wanksters i need to walk past too at times.
