Anyone know how true Drugs Inc episode was on porn industry?

One dealer said basically 100% of the performers are on drugs and it showed one nasty porn star smoking meth and looking washed up. I feel it would be high in the TS genre because so many girls are under pressure to get money and get all these implants that they turn to drugs.

No way its 100%. I would be curious to know what a real world, insiders estimate is, just for curiosity. I used to work at a strip club, as a bartender when I was much younger and still working my way through school. If you count weed, I'd say a good 75% of the strippers at my club got high in some way (late 80's, early 90's.) We had a couple on crack, and two that I remember being fired over heroin use in the club. But the hard stuff, less than 10%. If anyone knows Richmond, VA. the Paper Moon on Midlothian was the club.

speaking about the LA industry across gay/straight/TG genre's - I would say about 80-85 percent smoke marijuana. I would say less than half snort cocaine, but its definitely 2nd. As for heroin & meth - there are plenty of girls who use it, but they invariably can't keep their looks or skin together well enough to continue doing scenes. The most prevalent now are the adderalls and xanax pills. Many many many girls have phony prescriptions in their purses while on set. By the way, you can see the downward progression in the looks & behavior of hardcore drug addicts as they rise & fall. Angelina Valentine is a great example. Tanner Mayes is another.

Shows rely on sensationalism to get viewers, you do understand that, correct? Because saying that this show is very reliable is a rather naive thing to think.

Speaking from experience, it was once possible to make about $250k a year just selling weed to just pornstars. If you knew the right director or camera man or pimp...you were in. Then the pot shops came in and eventually the weed market had some changes made to it.

Christian is accurate IMO with his assessment. You can see the girls that get hooked on the meth...they don't last long.
