Yep, it's a big one! One of my goals in life is to see some of the ruins of ancient Greece and Rome. The period from the Greco-Persian Wars to the fall of Rome is my favorite time in history.

Most people know about Hadrian's wall, but not many are aware that the Romans also built another wall 100 miles to the north called the Antonine Wall, running roughly from the Clyde to the Forth across the central belt, which they abandoned and fell back to Hadrian's wall in the 2nd century AD.

When I was a kid, the Antonine Wall actually passed through the garden of the house next door. We used to play on stones and turf that were 2000 years old!

Wow, that's really cool! That's what's so different about America is that there just isn't that rich of a history, besides the Native American history, that goes back so far. The Antonine Wall, that was built under the orders of Marcus Aurelius, or Anotoninus Pius? Marcus's Meditations is like a personal guidebook to me.
