It has nothing to do with focusing on the male talent to any degree, but rather on what I need as an individual to "get off", so to speak. Let's not make this another "Am I gay" situation... The customers are speaking here.

What you need to get off, can be entirely different to the next person, and the next person. The best we can do is try to get it right for the majority and listening to someone who is really focused on the male models (whether it's a gay issue or not) is focusing on the smallest demograph, especially one wanting "buff gay guys". The vast majority of the customers come for the girls and that's where we focus. As long as the male performer looks decent and can do his job, I'm not going to put too much energy into that. I get about 20 applications a week from male performers, most of them unsuitable. The odd 1-2 who do make it through, often don't perform well, which is why we tend to stick to the ones that do work.

I think given the photos I've shown above, it shows that there are plenty of male performers that aren't "fat, ugly or out of shape." It does still amaze me, that you are putting the focus on the male performer though - you stated that it wasn't yet also that "if I get tired enough of seeing their faces there's always the Brazilian flicks, which have a greater variety of male talent."
I don't get it, I go to watch the girls that I like - and hope the male performer is good in that scene and unobtrusive, I have no interest in anything other about them.

What's sad is that I knew when I said that, this would be the likely result. I thought what I was saying was fairly straightforward, but let me explain anyway... It's impossible NOT to recognize that it's Tom Moore or Christian yet again, whether you want to focus exclusively on the girl in the scene or not. If I feel, having seen Tom or Christian in the seventh movie I've watched this month, that I'm tired of having them be the male talent in every single one of those DVDs, I go to Brazilian flicks. This is what I was saying. I don't have to focus on the guy in the scene to an unusual degree to recognize when it's Tom or Christian; it's pretty much guaranteed to be one or the other in US flicks, so the only way you can be certain to miss them is if you're the type who only watches Strokers videos, which don't do anything for me.

That said, you're a producer, so you know the business better than I do. Far be it from me to criticize what is working for you. I'm just speaking, as was the OP, for what I do and don't like. The porn that I tend to watch, to be honest, isn't your product given that typically I watch Brazilian porn. When I do watch US transsexual porn, Tom and/or Christian seem to always be in it, but it doesn't really bother me too much given that I don't watch porn often these days. In fact, the last time I watched a US production, it was the one with Ava Devine, Vicki Richter, Vo D'Balm and Carmen Cruz, and that movie came out quite some time ago I'm sure.

A lot of the girls are using 'fans'. A lot of the production companies are using the same unattractive men.
