I've heard pre-op ts girls say 'straight' guys claim it's always been their fantasy or suchlike, but the post ops I know that date regular straight guys don't tell them. The straight guys I know wouldn't entertain the idea. I've heard comments ranging from 'would I date a transsexual if she'd had everything done- er let me think, no' to 'its a guy in a dress' and my fave from someone I thought was a good friend 'If one ever came on to me i'd punch it'.
