What's the significance of the scorpion tattoo?

I mentioned in another thread that I didn't understand what the significance of the scorpion tattoo is that many TSs, specifically in Brazil, have. Did it originally mean that they were sort of working for Fabio Scorpian, and now that he has passed, is it dedicated to his memory? Is it because of the stinger and it's allusions to a penis? Is it some sort of Brazilian-specific cultural thing? Or is it something else entirely? Enquiring minds want to know.

It may be starting in parts of the US and is called "Los Costas a Lotas" (The Shemale Mafia).
It's basically a group of shemales, ex-shemales, pimps and man-ho's who work prostitution, drugs, violence between Brazil and Europe/US. As you may know many Brazilian Shemales go to Italy and Spain, they're often used as drug mules as their cavities can hold more than the average person.

Thanks! That answers one of my long held unsolved mysteries. The Shemale Mafia, huh? Do they give out the kiss of death like the Italian mafia? I like the part about their cavities holding more than the average persons! Is that why they are in some much porn, so they can make bigger cavities to hold drugs?
