....Right On, cheese...thanx a million man, you hit it out o the park on this post....these are great and many of which I had not seen.
....meanwhile, on a side note re: the original filename issue....I was all set to complain that all the files had the same damn name, that being "attachment.php.jpg " which has been frosting my flakes here lately, but damifi didn't figure it out just now
...for anyone else who may be bothered by this problem, here's the deal...if you right click the thumbnail and Open image in new tab you get the full sized image. If you then right click that full new tab image and click Save Image As, which is what I was doing....you get the generic bogus name every time. But, if you right click the thumbnail and save LINK as...bingo....you get the actual definitive filename and the image is saved as the full original size.
