Every time that leather face yells out 'Drank' in whatever song gets played during halftime it cracks me up. These retards arent even the Banana Splits...let alone The Monkees.

Ouch. Comparing a group with The Banana Splits is like a Jack Tatum shot on a receiver in mid-air.

At least The Monkees had SOME songwriting talent, once they started doing their own songs. They were still miles behind the top groups of the day, i.e. Hendrix, the Dead, the Airplane, Quicksilver, Pink Floyd, Traffic, Love, Big Brother, The Doors, and The Mothers Of Invention.

Not to say that the Splits (or the Peas by extension) were terrible, but even The Archies or Josie And The Pussycats were somewhat excusable by comparison.
