Another kinda embarassing moment was making out with a girl on a sleeper train. We were stopped in a station and the blind suddenly flew up - exposing us to the gaze of all the folk on the platform.

It was back in '92, after a madcap, flat-stick, all-night ride back to Nice from the Le Mans 24-hour bike race (about 1060 km - 660 miles or so), only stopping for tollbooths, fuel and the odd sarnie/beer/Mars bar/spliff... My girlfriend of the moment (who had stayed back home) thought that after such a heroic, hung-over exploit, her beloved greasy, hairy biker deserved a "reward". Unfortunately I was exhausted, starved, hung over and stoned, and quickly fell asleep (snores and all!) despite her best efforts to make me feel good! Oops!
