So I have a GG friend that I've been friends with for a few months now. She does not know that I am a transsexual. Well a few nights ago we went out to a club here in Houston. There was a noticable transsexual in the club and she blurts out obnoxiously "that's a dude." She then went on and on for a good 5 minutes about how it was so disgusting. Saying things like, "did you see his hands, look at her feet." I just laughed it off but was pretty upset. I feel like I should have at least spoke up for the girl but didn't want to get myself spooked. Needless to say I won't be talking to her anymore.

Wow! If I was you I would be very offended. I was born with an ear deformity, and recently had it corrected. Some fake friends teased a guy who had the same deformity. I told them that I was offended, and have not spoken to them since.

You should have stood up and said something to smack that girl.

I hate that type of demeaning phrases towards transgendered individuals and the Jerry Springer/Maury attitudes, it is transphobic and just plain asshole moves to do to a transwoman!

I doubt I even need to say this, but Sunshyne, just one look at your avatar or other pics, and it is clear you are very beautiful with a body any woman would envy. I bet 99.99% of guys checking out women in your vicinity turn their eyes to you and not these close-minded women around you.

Be careful. There are dozens of girls here who would argue that Springer/Maury induced ignorance is helpful to the trans community due to the exposure such ridicule seems to provide.
