I think were becoming more and more detached from personal interaction with people due to texting, emailing and social media. I'm not going to lie when i was in College the mopst i got to know my roommates was when the power went out and we actually had to hang out other than drinking.

Smiling at strangers is a big one for me.
I went food shopping earlier and on a busy Saturday, people just wander around in a trance. No eye contact, no smile of acknowledgment if u move out of ppls path.
A smile from someone can brighten your day.

Actually, most people share that viewpoint to a large extent. It just doesn't get a lot of publicity.
