Interesting exchange at my bar the other day.

Three young ladies that I would consider acquaintances are having a convo concerning why two of them are single. I was buying them drinks.The one girl who has a fiancee is telling her story and you can tell she is sweet and humble, takes care of her family and tries hard to do the right thing where everybody is concerned.

The other two are initially cool with me but eventually their character comes out. I mention that the worse professor I had at the school was XXX and they proceed to rip me as the considered her to be their favorite. This prof was an out spoken somewhat feminist with not room for alternative opinions. She insisted Jane Byrne Chicago's first female mayor was voted out of office because of the snow storm of '79 when in fact she had earned the nick name the Snow Queen because she WAS VOTED IN OFFICE because of the snow and not visa versa. When a classmate respectfully corrected the misinformation she embarrased him in front of the class. And this was the style of their favorite teacher.

Cool.

So then I say we should hang out some time making it very clear that I was thinking as
friends and nothing else and they get all cool as if I am trying to hit on them.
