Some of the westerns I used to watch had memorable theme songs...such as:

OK, so many of my favorites have already been mentioned & linked. Bringing back memories. FYI, I still have a 45rpm vinyl single of Joey Scarbury's "Theme From The Greatest American Hero." I remember buying it at an Albertson's supermarket. I think it was the first 45 I ever purchased with my own money.

I'll throw these into the mix...

"Stark Raving Mad" was a brilliant comedy starring Tony Shalhoub & Neil Patrick Harris that only survived for a season or two. Sad. You can find some of the episodes on Youtube. Worth a watch, IMHO.



And I don't think anyone has yet posted the M*A*S*H theme. I could not find a decent upload of the actual opening credits, but this one at least has clear audio of the theme song. Fans will of course remember that the original feature film's theme had lyrics, but I prefer the TV theme.



And the aforementioned Movie theme... ironically using footage from the TV show...



And how about "Family Ties?"



I watched too many sitcoms in the 80's... "Charles in Charge."



I was too old for this one, but my younger siblings watched it incessantly, and the tune used to get stuck in my head. "The Great Space Coaster."



"Fat Albert" was more my style...



And "Hong Kong Phooey" was a fave.



"The Banana Splits" is sure to bring back memories for a few people...



I'd better stop before this post gets to be 30 miles long...
