What percentage of ts actually pass for gg's?

No one passes all the time. Even the most passable post ops I know of probably arouse some suspicion every now and again. That said everyone here knows what to look for and has fine tuned trans-radar. Even a Stealth Bomber has a small radar signature that those with experience recognize. The general public is generally oblivious to transsexuals.

I would say that 2/3 of transsexuals pass 99.99%. of the time. Put another way 1/1000 people clock them and those tend or be folks with direct personal experience with another transsexual.

FTM's of course pass better in general. Testosterone does for many of them almost magical things.

I disagree, ive seen some girls that u would never ever know. I dated a girl for about two years who could not even be clocked by other transsexuals.

eh true and false... look up youngest transsexual from some European country you would never know because she transitioned so young. i mean even gg get clocked. my older sister who is 5'9, tall thin, exotic gets mistaken for a hot ts all the time..

In my experence from the danish transgender scene some especially ung people pass as good as (or even better) than cisgendered girls (gg)
Some pass terribly. Either because they don't care or because they dont know how to.
But most of us pass to some degree in everyday life because of attitude and efford.

I agree that this generation of younger girls will have a much higher chance of both passing and being accepted even if they don't pass completely. I think gender counseling and access to T-blockers should be available at least by high school.

...Totally agree. I like to think we are in the 3rd wave of transgender history. The first was the pioneers, Jorgenson, Roberta Cowell, Coccinelle and all her peers. The second were girls like Tula and the showqueens like Mimi Marks, Tandi Andrews and the like. But now I look at
girls like Sarina, Bailey, Carolina Montenegro and Ellery Sweet, and I'm left scratching my head - and I've got T-radar as sharp as anyone's. And these are just the "out" girls.

they can't be any real way of knowing. They are a lot of deep stealth chicks out there that you wouldn't even suspect were trans and that wouldn't purposely volunteer the information to you.

That doesn't mean they're not 'passing.' People can suspect all they like, but if they don't act on their suspicions, the person in question is 'passing.' Seriously, the amazons in the WNBA don't 'pass' by most standards and they're GG. You don't think they've ever been asked if they were born male? I bet they have, and I bet they have more than many of us transwomen.

Oh, and another thing: being 'read' by people with 'transdar' doesn't mean a thing either. 'Transdar' is just another way of saying, "I knew you were trans because I know what 'trans people' look like and so I err on the side of every woman with slightly masculine features being trans so that I'm trap-proof." Come on with that. WNBA, remember?

Its 2011, why worry about passing for what you are not and instead embrace and represent who you really are. There is nothing wrong with being a transexual, being a female is not better than being a transexual, passing is not a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, life is not better and daymn shure not more fun! And funny how the guys who worry so much about who is passing don't even deal with ts in REAL life anyway.
Me and my chipmunk cheeks are havin too much fun to worry, try, or want to pass as a female.
