Being the rookie chick in the industry I went to Vegas to hang out with Liberty Harkness who had come with Joanna for the AVN awards this year. We all went out for dinner and had a great time just hanging out while in Vegas. I had known Joanna had been doing porn for a little while but it wasn't until Steven told me her back story and all that she had accomplished for the world of TS porn that I realized just how much of an impact she had made for us all. So for this little newbie it was an honor to be hanging out with a legend, if only for a few hours. Congrats on the award Joanna!!!!!! You, of all people definitely deserve it

FYI: Her company was Altered State Productions and Gia Darling would be the first followed by Joanna then myself. Only 3 Independant Ts Productions Companies thus far (sad if you think about that).

I think there is a few more Wendy? Bigdickbitch produce and release? Mandy does her own productions, DeliaTS, Tara Emory, etc.?

However, I'd still say Joanna was the first as she set up her own production company without support of other companies and pretty much done it all herself.

You are right though, it would be nice to see a few more.

While we are independent and produce, edit, star in our own content, we are solely web based at this point. None of our personal content has been released or distributed on DVD, at least not with our consent. We do all of our own site design, customer service, promo content, blogs and only rely on outside companies for billing and hosting and of course affiliates for promotion.

Seanchai I was speaking about Production Companies (dvd) , Yes there are ladies who produce their own online content ETC but I was speaking merely as a "Production Company"
