I like what you have to say but I have to beg to differ with this. I think it's time that girls realize that transsexuality is a condition, not a 'way of life.' To say it's a way of life implies that it's just a lifestyle choice when really, it's just who we are. The choice is not between being a man or a woman, but between being yourself or somebody others want you to be.

For me, it was an easy choice. I wanted to be real, I wanted to be me, and it kind of makes me wonder why so many girls transition to come off so fake. *smh*

Also when I say way of life...it's a need...not a want...not a desire...it's a need to be YOU. I have always said it's your needed gender. People confuse it with a choice...but being a woman is a way of life as well as being a man. There is something that makes a man a man in his personality etc and a woman a woman in hers. And I am not talking about appearance or even acting like a girly girl or hard ass/macho man...you feel it in their very essence. I think when you come across a true trans-person you can feel their "essence" aka gender from their persona.

Ahh, the innocence of youth. When I was that age I knew I was different, but I couldn't wrap my head around why it mattered. I used to sit on the toilet to pee, a habit my father beat out of me. I used to ask my mother things like, 'how come girls get to wear pretty things like , but I have to wear ?' I just couldn't understand why having a penis meant I had to be someone that I wasn't, do things I didn't want to do, wear things I didn't want to wear, and be measured against 'the other boys' since we had very little in common even if I had a few tom-boyish tendencies. It just didn't seem fair to me. It's probably also why I never developed faith in 'God.'

My parents just never told me playing with girl stuff was wrong...if I wanted a Barbie or My little pony they bought it for me. I remember putting a towel on my head to pretend it was long hair and I was a princess lol and I would wear my mom's shoes. My dad thought I would grow out of it, my mom knew better. lol I was taking a bath with my cousin when I discovered we had different equipment...lol My dad tried getting me a GI JOE when I was 8 at the Toy store and I threw the biggest fit in front of everyone till we left with a Barbie!! lol Isn't it weird how you just KNEW

I wouldn't dare ask for a 'girl's toy,' although I was allowed to watch some pretty girlie TV and movies. Barbies were verboten in my house, but strangely, Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears, and Rainbow Brite were not, but then I was also crazy about The A-Team (LOVED the movie: fuck what ya heard!) and Knight Rider so maybe that was a comfort to him. I also think that watching TV was an activity that was out of my father's sight, so he didn't care, but if he ever caught me with a 'girl's toy,' it would not have been pretty.

I found that the path of least resistance was to ask for 'boy toys' that I could tolerate.

Yeah, well, apparently my being a geeky, effeminate male was preferable to him over being a strong woman, which is what I always felt I was. On the inside I was a girl who could hang with the boys, but I never felt that I belonged. I had to face it though: I knew I didn't.

Oh and to the men on here who complain about how tgirls lash out etc...realize hurt people hurt others...they just have to let it go and forgive...and they would be a lot happier. It's easy to forgive and move on and accomplish when you LET GO of the pain and revenge............

Boy...you got some balls Bella ..........really. There are people on here that think you look like a CD. I'm sorry if that offends as it wasn't my intent, but it's true. I don't happen to think that way, but I don't look at a picute of someone and get out my fucking slide rule to figure out what niche they fit it. I see if I find them attractive...if not...I move on. Shame on you. Many of you TV's are the most judgemental, drama loving group of people i've ever expierenced. It's like you got yours...by whatever means it took and now you're sitting in judgement of others who haven't. You desire and demand to be identified as women, but god help the fugly cd that's in transition...you savage them. Crossdressers dress for fun! (many are straight men)

transvestites dress for fetish! (most are straight men) (pantyhose wearing, bra wearing, they order female masks, and all that jazz)

drag queens (for shows, picking up trade, etc)

being a transsexual is identifying with the opposite gender of what you were born.

You normally get on hormones etc to start your life. I consider these girl young trans-girls...then you become a woman....never would i consider them crossdressers!

Being a transsexual is not for fun/sexual thrills...it's a way of life. Much how you wake up every morning and you know you are a man...we know we are a woman rather we have implants or not...

Nor do i consider just because you get tits and surgery to appear as a woman a transsexual. I know many who still identify as a gay man...they did it for either drag shows/escorting......

Knock on wood guys a transsexual is whats in between the ears - not the appearance!!


And lastly - a horny crossdresser/drag queen will say they are transitioning/transsexual to feed your need to feel straight..... Rolls eyes. My gay friends do it all the time when they are dragged out. Pick up some curious "straight" boy.
