I don't see why anyone has to justify their sexual preferences. If a person is sexually attracted to another for whatever reasonand act on it, why should that strike any negative/positive response for someone totally disconnected from it.

I'm not trying to hate on other kinds of transgenders, but the point of this blog was to point out the differences between CDs and TSs, and here you are putting them together as if you didn't read the OP. It seems like you didn't outside of 'CD,' 'free,' and 'sex,' and immediately responded to that with which you took offense.

And have we all noticed yet how CD's and TV's so easily lump TS's in with themselves in order to imply that we're the same? Have you ever seen a TS do that with a CD/TV? Of course not, and it's because, sorry to say, they're illegitimately trying to ride our coattails in an attempt to co-opt the acceptance many of us enjoy from larger society. We TSs actually did the work to get past that stage of our transitions; we didn't fake it like CDs and TVs do. If anybody has a right to be offended at the comparison, it's TSs, and I am whenever I read stuff like this.

Yes, we all have to start somewhere, but that doesn't mean that every CD will blossom into a beautiful flower of a woman (or even that they want to), and while I have many CD/TV friends, as a group, I find them intolerable because they insist on playing this game to bait us into looking stuck up. Well, if that's the game people want to play, I must be one arrogant bitch because I don't have a damn thing in common with a transvestite gender-wise.

You'll never find a tampon in my purse, even though if I put it there, people would actually believe I need it. And while not all CD/TVs are sluts, per capita, they're much easier than TSs because they require sexual validation while many of us do not. Let's not pretend otherwise and insult everyone's intelligence.

A CD/TV deserves respect like everyone else (and may even have a feminine spirit, i.e two-spirit), but he's not a woman.

I like what you have to say but I have to beg to differ with this. I think it's time that girls realize that transsexuality is a condition, not a 'way of life.' To say it's a way of life implies that it's just a lifestyle choice when really, it's just who we are. The choice is not between being a man or a woman, but between being yourself or somebody others want you to be.

For me, it was an easy choice. I wanted to be real, I wanted to be me, and it kind of makes me wonder why so many girls transition to come off so fake. *smh*

I dont really feel I transitioned. I was 12 and went to high school as a girl (hometaught my seventh and eighth grade year) I just felt like any teen girl felt. Never ever did I identify being a boy. I didn't even know I was different from my girl cousin till age 6 and I was mortified.

Ahh, the innocence of youth. When I was that age I knew I was different, but I couldn't wrap my head around why it mattered. I used to sit on the toilet to pee, a habit my father beat out of me. I used to ask my mother things like, 'how come girls get to wear pretty things like , but I have to wear ?' I just couldn't understand why having a penis meant I had to be someone that I wasn't, do things I didn't want to do, wear things I didn't want to wear, and be measured against 'the other boys' since we had very little in common even if I had a few tom-boyish tendencies. It just didn't seem fair to me. It's probably also why I never developed faith in 'God.'
