I told him to give me a few minutes and I will call you back,

His reply was "oh no you cannot call me back it will show on my phone records I will call you back"

I told him I cannot see him if I am unable to call him back or reach him.

He is upset now.

It's easy to erase the calls from the log on your phone, but the records (i.e. the complete list of all incoming and outgoing calls, regardless of call completion/answer) stored in the mobile phone provider's database are pretty much forever.

So yeah, the guy was basically either misinformed, naive, or retarded if he thought calls only registered in one direction.
