Italian actress Alessandra Di Sanzo

Once I figured it out, I thought this would be a story to share with HA. This takes place in Italy. In 1989 a 22 year old actor won acclaim, playing a "teenaged transvestite prostitute". The name of the film is translated as "Forvever Mary". The actor Alessandro Di Sanzo, went on the reprise the role in a followup film, and had similar types of roles in subsequent films. It turns the the actor was really transexual and now lives as a woman, named Alessandra. This video of her in Italian, is of her with clips from her ground breaking role.

It should not be a shock to anyone that she became trans. My point is in this case the Italian public has had twenty years to see an effeminate youth, who today we would call transgender become a woman. Here is another clip from the 1989 film:

The film, from what I see from the clips, has many of the trails and tribulation of transgender youth.

Here is a clip of her in 2009, now a woman. She is now 43.

Wow this is Amazing! I would love to see this film.. She did a great job playing a TV and a TS! Bravo!

Both films are really good and really "heavy". What they depict is not for everyone's stomach.

Sorry I can't find this movie anywhere online including dubious sources, except the DVD which is available from Amazon and some resellers in Italy.

Maybe someone else will do better.
