    I have no problems maintaining an erection during foreplay, but the moment I'm penetrated, whether by cock or dildo, I lose my stiffy ...

    I know I'm not alone and that a lot of guys lose their erection when penetrated, but what I want to know is if this is a response that I can learn to overcome. Maintaining my hard on would be cool if I could learn to do it ...

    Is it just a mind thing, or is there something physiological going on?

    Are you being penetrated by something too big for your ass? Is it painful? The only time I recall that I couldn't keep an erection was years ago when I was with a girl who was very hung and was being somewhat rough with my ass. It wasn't really painful, but it was uncomfortable, and I didn't enjoy the physical aspect of it. The psychological aspect was great; i.e., being fucked by somebody with such a large penis.

    No pain or discomfort and I'm most definitely still aroused. It's just as if there's a switch that gets tripped.

    A bit of Googling suggests it is something that I can learn to overcome. Just wondered if anyone had any tips or suggestions. Probably just more practice, I guess ...

    With me it's totally dependent on who I'm with, and I stay harder if I'm very turned on if I'm being done just the right way. So I'd say it's 70% mindset, 30% technique.
