I use Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10 to blend the images and then add the text with Corel Draw X3. Although, on the Mia one, thats the pic as I found it.

When I've added the text in Corel I export the pic as a jpeg and then resize it to suit whatever desktop I am working on ( 800x600, or 1024x76.
Usually you can do it without any distortion of the pic and everyone is happy.....
