I confess myself confused as to why this particular discussion is in this section of Hung Angels rather than politics and - beyond that - why Hung Angels folk use the whole forum at all to discuss foreign affairs, domestic politics etc. Aren't there are other, more focused forums for this sort of discussion?

It's always entertaining to watch certain posters rant on about there causes (right wing mainly) when there party would'nt even acknowledge them. (hello Log Cabin Republicans!)

I agree. And I can't admire China for it's toleration of that regime's crimes... given that China is now motivated by money, China doesn't want to deal with North Korean refugees streaming across the Lonsai river into China when the North Korean crime family's cult finally implodes (or explodes).

I think China also likes having North Korea as a buffer zone, on that side of the country's border, against pro-western countries...especially ones that allow US military access.

You're probably right and that's what today's NY Times article on Wikileaks diplomatic cables would suggest too.
