If we go full-bore into this meat grinder, I want BHO to re-instate the draft.
People always talk a lot of junk about the pressing need for military intervention, but have never served or had anyone close to them die in combat.

The casualties from a ground war with North Korea with be potentially in the high thousands. This isn't some rhetorical ideological game about which POTUS is the biggest 'cowboy'.
The chicken hawks need to personally bleed this time.

BTW, South Korea's defense minister just stepped down. Not a good sign.

This just my opinion:

I don't think obama will fight. We are commited, by treaties, to come to South Korea's defence. So, he will probably send a division (or less) over there for about six months. Then he'll give some speach about how we tried to live up to our commitment, then pull the troops out.

The UK's Independent is reporting that thousands of North Korean workers and their security escorts have suddenly picked up and are leaving the country and heading back home. This isn't good. Russia pays NK directly for the worker's labor and for them to just pick up and leave is serious b/c of the revenue that they derive for such an impoverished nation. I haven't seen any of the MSM sources reporting on this and it's datelined today. NK's usual posturing and sending signals is one thing, this development is something to take note of.

I confess myself confused as to why this particular discussion is in this section of Hung Angels rather than politics and - beyond that - why Hung Angels folk use the whole forum at all to discuss foreign affairs, domestic politics etc. Aren't there are other, more focused forums for this sort of discussion?
