preop girls and airport full body scanners

i was curious as to every ones opinion on these things. i saw a story just a few minutes ago on the local news talking about bringing them to the san antonio airport.. they kinda make me uneasy as i myself am preop, i mean i dont want everyone knowing that i have penis as im pretty stealthy in public lol. what do you other preop girls think? have any of you been through them? if you have did people react?

I would normally say 'just say no,' but I recently read an article saying that a refusal to use the scanner will trigger a gestapo-like response by the TSA. All I can say to that is: slight authority and an inferiority complex do not mix.

So yeah, I'm kind of torn since if you're tucked properly, I'm not sure how much is going to be seen. I'd like to know more about these machines.

Also the people seeing the scans are in another room so unless they contact the security personnel who are present no one would know.

You are supposed to have the choice between the scanner and a pat-down. I'm a trans guy so the scanner really creeps me out and I always go with the frisking. Keep in mind that the person that screens your photo is in another room and the photo is supposed to be deleted immediately after. This isn't always the case though.

I also saw this report. I don't think there will be any issues if you dont have a penis larger than 8 inches hanging and fake boobs that I am pretty sure will show on the scanner. At that time I am pretty sure they will pull you over and make a better check. Now the funny part is who is going to make the check up? a woman or a man? I will ask for another TS to do the check up on me! If they dont have one they will need to get one and maybe I can flirt with her and get lucky!
