Yes. Absolutely. Passable does not equal pretty. And non-passable does not equal ugly either. Some of the girls I know who I consider very passable are actually kind of, sort of, plain locking.

Umm... I don't think that's a fair statement. If anything, the desire to be passable is fear based. Most ot society wants to malign transgender people. They want to mock us, keep us from providing a legal means to care for ourselves, and in extreme cases kill us outright. The desire to pass comes from a desire to fit into normal society as the women that we know ourselves to be, and to be afforded all the rights, courtesies, and respect that genetic women receive.

Beauty is an expectation that's put on all women, and we all tend to want to achieve it. But yeah... Beauty is definitely separate from the ability to pass...
