Default Transsexual who won't see black clients? Racist or Safety Measure?

So I was reading this story about the suspects in the shooting of Transsexual, Victoria Carmen White (Click here for the story). Before looking at the photos of the suspects...I had my fingers crossed that they would not be African American (they were).

I know a lot of girls who work as escort refuse to see African American Males and I am beginning to understand why.

Do you consider this to be racist or a safety measure?

Because a lot of the girls who will not see black guys professionally, will date them in a non-professional capacity.

Violence is violence... there are violent people of all races. I lived with a GG escort for about a year, and she would have other escorts hanging out at the house a lot, and I'd hear them talk about their clients. A number of them refuse to see black clients and it had nothing to do with safety.

The main reason was because their black clients tended to either be a no call/no show, short them money, push hard for discounts, or push for them to do services that were not on their menu. I'm not saying all black men are this way. But these girls had years of experience escorting, and they tend to talk with each other about good and bad clients. Some of these girls were black themselves.

Most of the experienced escorts ask for references (regardless of race). If a black guy came to them with references from other girls, they would see them.

Its a very homophobic/trans-phobic culture in the U.S. and black men are raised to be Hyper-masculine. That is why I believe a lot of them have trouble with their attraction to transsexuals and act out in violence as a means of proving their dislike.

I'm black and have loved trans my whole life, but most black guys I know are so homo-phobic it's scary, I think it might have to do with the overly Christian upbringing amongst other things. I've never been with one but maybe one day, if I don't get turned down...

Very well stated, JP. I would have to agree with this statement. To me, it's simply a preference... however, there are a select few in which I have met with and had a great time with. .

I know from MY experiences, when they tend to call our numbers, the first words out of their mouths are usually pretty ugh. Idk how else to put it - just here in Houston, they lack manners and proper phone etiquette.
