    Default Christine O'Donnell...

The Republican Party do not like Christine O'Donnell because she isn't part of the upper class. Her family isn't rich and she isn't rich. (On the other hand, well, Mike Castle is a direct descendant of Benjamin Franklin. And Mike Castle's father was a lawyer. Ya know, part of the Upper Crust. Unlike Christine.
The Senate should be reserved for the upper crust. Not lower class people like Christine O'Donnell.
It says something about our overall political system.)

Sarah Palin, with her endorsement of Christine O'Donnell, put her over the top.
But, again, the Senate must be only for the wellborn, the nobility, as it were.
It really is a sad and disconcerting comment on our elite political system. (When Sarah Palin talks about the elites, well, she should be talking about both the Dems and Republicans.)

Iam a Palin supporter, but O'Donnell's views are even a bit 'out there' for my taste.I do wonder then how independents then will view her. But saying that, she was nominated and I think Palin has a point when she talks about 'the old boys club' within the republican party. It could only be a good thing to have some diversity within the party and not have the majority being white, male and privillaged. Allen West, someone I am more positive about than O' Donnell , is also not exactly liked by the old guard either .

O'Donnell also apparently has been a bit enconomical with the truth, but then what politician hasn't? And really I believe it looks bad for the republican party if senior figures do not get behind those that get the nomination. Let the people of that state judge her, this is what democracy is all about.

I also think this shows the level of influence Palin has now, and it seems a nomination from her carries a lot of weight.I do believe the left were very wrong about her and I always thought that. This is a gift to the Democrat party though, not so much O'Donnells election but current arguments going on within the republican party. The voters do not like parties that are split ,look throughout political history, split parties get punished in elections.

It's not because of her heritage, it's because she's a DUMBASS!!! She said the Government has created a cloned, hybrid mouse that has a working HUMAN BRAIN!!! And, for all you wankers out there (me), she said masterbation is akin to adultery because, to masterbate, you must have lust in your heart. She lied about being a College graduate and used campaign funds to pay her personal debts. You think maybe THAT'S why they don't like her?

I simply stated that the reason Karl Rove and the Republican brass do not like Christine O'Donnell is that she isn't one of them. Being, well, rich. And born into the "right" family. Like, well, George Bush. Who was born into a very wealthy family. Bush is one of them: went to the right schools and born into the right family.
But, well, most people understand that. The original intent of the Senate was to serve the rich. Now there is some debate as to whether or not the Founding Fathers actually wanted a democracy.
For instance, John Jay, the First Chief Justice of the U.S., said and I quote: "Those who own the country ought to govern it."
Christine O'Donnell is not a member of the ownership class. But: John McCain is. As is John Kerry. Edward Kennedy was, too. To give you three examples. They talked right, went to the right schools, were born into the right families and are extremely wealthy. These people are wanted in the U.S. Senate. Not Christine O'Donnell. It's a sad fact.

Christine O'Donnell might be right about "... masturbation is akin to adultery..." But I think she may mean: looking at pornography. A lot of women feel that way. That isn't unusual.
The media have labelled her: "an ultra-right wing extremist."
She's merely a Christian conservative, with deeply held Christian beliefs.
Like being against abortion. Which she is. Even in cases of rape and incest. So was Dick Cheney.

O'Donnell is sort of out there. I don't think she is going to win.
