My advice as an old timer is:

$40 seems justified for your time, but obviously each encounter poses its own unique set of circumstances requiring a provider to be vilgilant. So I had a client come through who gave me my donation

After a few minutes into the session he said why are you putting a condom on me.

I told him I dont do anything bareback.

He said he was leaving and he wanted his money back

I took 40 dollars out and gave him 160 back.

He wanted it all back but I said no and threw him out.

Since they're paying for time i say the 40 u took was very reasonable. So unless he stood the whole hour in there with u then dont listen to the people who told u that u should have kept it all.

When you're playing with someone's money you have to expect for all ethics to be thrown out the window.

I had that happen once. Told the guy that if he thought he was getting his money back we were' both going to wind up in jail after I turned us both in for prostitution. I'd happily sit a couple of days in the punk tank on principle. I can afford it. Knowing that it would have literally destroyed his life was just too delicious of an idea to pass up. Needless to say I paid my electric bill on time that month.

Thats crazy. You sure got lucky there. Hypothetically speaking of course. If someone threatened me with jail time and to destroy my life yea i would give the money on the spot but on principle alone after allowing enough time to pass to the point where im not even a thought, i'd comeback and pay the person who threatened me a different type of visit.
