They can be grouped in to 3 broad categories (but remember there are overlaps), TGs (Trans who do not identify as Hijra), Hijras (third Gender), Crossdressers in India. India also has some big festivals where large number of hijras and crossdressers gather. I was lucky to participate in Gangamma Festival and it is a fantastic experience. While CDs and hijras can enjoy themselves in these festivals don't forget that there is a huge religious aspect to these. For example, for all these festivals you have to dress formally and decently covering the full body.

# Aravan Festival Koovagam, tamilnadu - festival for Hijras
# Chamaya-Vilakku Festival, Kottankulangara Devi Temple at Kollam, Kerala - festival for cds and non-cds as well
# Ganga-Yatra Festival, Gangamma temple, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh - festival for cds and non-cds alike
# Sri subramaniya swamy temple, Thiruchendur, Tamilnadu - CDs are welcome

There are lot of other temple festivals that accept cds and hijras as special groups. YOu will find plenty of Chamaya-Vilakku and Koovagam festival videos (and to a lesser extent other festivals also) on Youtube. In Flickr you will find lot of Indian Hijra and Crossdresser images.
