And that's not a rip on Charlie Sheen. 15 years ago dude was awesome. But for God's sake, Mel made Apocalypto, The Passion of the Christ, Braveheart, Mad Max and a bunch of other great flicks. No contest!

I agree. Though his portrayal of the English was far more nuanced in Braveheart.

If I were to boycott Lethal Weapon movies it would be because of Danny Glover, not Mel. Being friends with and propping up dictators in the public eye is worse than slapping around a broad who is out to get you and a few other racist remarks.

Uh the "Jews" are the writers of the bible and Mel Gibson just portrayed what they wrote.
Now jews spend all there time hating Jesus....was jesus a bad jew?
I like Mel Gibson because he is honest.
He says what he feels.
He is not some slimy devious calculating backstabbing son of a gun and he is the BEST director in Hollywood....even better than Speilburg.

Of course it is my opinion. Whose opinion would it otherwise be? Jimmy Durante's? A movie can be a big hit and still be a piece of crap and bigoted. The Protocols of the Elders of Zion has sold millions too, I suppose that makes it an honest, non-bigoted piece of culture? Birth of a Nation was also the biggest film ever at the time of its release.
