Interesting. I was part of a research project during the mid 70's where both genders had to pick photos representing their preference of a scene. Women chose focal lengths based on the 35mm full frame format between 18mm to 35mm with the mean preference being 24mm which is half the 1:1 50mm standard and about the representation of human vision with two eyes. Men OTOH chose long focal lengths which the mean was 200mm or diopter range close ups using extention tubes,macro lenses,or supplimentary lenses.

I'm sure that's an offshoot of womens' ability to multitask and take in larger amounts of information at one time while men maintain a high level of focus on a particular thing or activity. Seems to make sense. I do prefer a photo that hones in on whatever thing I like best rather than a busy, artsy photo...
