These words were posted a long long time ago but I just felt a need to respond. It's a very well made point but I wonder whether it's all that different where it concerns the male gender.
While gay and lesbian relationships are more and more accepted these days, transsexualism is often still seen as something weird. As a result, transsexual girls and women do often experience rejection by their very own family and friends.
Any man or woman becoming romantically involved with such a woman is sure to suffer the very same fate. That in my view causes many of us to classify it as a step to large to take.

Personally though, if the right girl came along for me, I would not hesitate taking that difficult step. Regardless of the consequences.
