Re: Andrej Pejic (Androgeny)
Andrej is no more or less feminine that any other high fashion model.
Some people are so worried that they might get hard looking at a male.
I am not surprised by the reaction of the gay editors at FHM, ever since gayness has been allowed to sit on the back of the bus, the gay establishment has been pushing its middle class agenda, and femme gays ( and god forbid gender queer people) don't fit. AND many many gay men are so afraid of losing their masculine identity, they go way over board.
Andrej really bothers some people. I wonder why.

Re: Andrej Pejic (Androgeny)
In political philosophy the terms "positive freedom" and "negative freedom" are used.
Negative freedom is the easiest to describe as it basically suggest, The freedom from X to do Y. Or basically freedom from external coercion and restraints.
The Libertarian is traditionally viewed as the great philosophical advocate of of negative freedom.
Positive freedom is more difficult to pin down due to its greater philosophical complexity. But suffice it to say, positive freedom hinges on the belief and emphasis of internal freedom, through self awareness, and that the individual can not be the judge of his or her self awareness - ergo, freedom - but must be subject to community judgment, and it is societies and governments job to help bring individuals to self awareness.
Republicans, Democrats, Socialists, Communists, and religions are all hardcore proponents of positive freedom.
Given most people in the United States are either Republicans or Democrats, due to the two-party-system of the United States, it's my opinion that has much to do with answering your question.
The Catholic Church is also one of the most philosophically advanced (with coherent moral philosophy - with respect to its own tradition) institutions in the world. Diplomatically, it has one of the most skilled and advanced diplomatic corps in the world. And it understands power usually stays with the rich, educated, and powerful: the status quo. As an example, the Muslim Saudi king, the Buddhist king of Thailand, and an influential socialist politician of - Spain I think it is? - all are inducted members of the Catholic fraternal order of Knights of the Golden Fleece.
So, identity politics on the political left when it comes to sexuality provides its narrative (fictitious or not) that battles against narratives from the more traditional Jewish, Islamic, and Christian schools of thought on gender identity and human sexuality. Both sides in the war are proponents of "positive freedom" and militant advocates of indoctrinating adults and children.
1. Identity politics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Wiki_letter_w_cropped.svg" class="image">
Identity politics are political arguments that focus upon the self interest and perspectives of self-identified social interest groups and ways in which people's politics may be shaped by aspects of their identity through race, class, religion, sexual orientation or traditional dominance. Not all members of any given group are necessarily involved in identity politics.
Groups who participate in identity politics may or may not be a marginalised class of people. However, group advocates will often have a self-belief, a self schema or explanatory narrative, that they are in fact a marginalized group. Typically, these group identities are defined in terms of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic class, or neurological wiring[citation needed].
Minority influence is a central component of identity politics. Minority influence is a form of social influence which takes place when a majority is being influenced to accept the beliefs or behavior of a minority. Unlike other forms of influence this usually involves a personal shift in private opinion. This personal shift in opinion is called conversion. This type of influence is most likely to take place if the minority is consistent, flexible and appealing to the majority.

According to the Church, humans are sexual beings whose sexual identity extends beyond the body to the mind and soul. The sexes are meant by divine design to be different and complementary, each having equal dignity and made in the image of God.[15] The sexual act is sacred within the context of the marital relationship that reflects a complete and life-long mutual gift of a man and a woman.[14] Sexual sins thus violate not just the body but the person's whole being.[14]

Transgenderism, transsexualism,
gender dysphoria, & gender identity
Status of, causes of, & cures for, transexuality
according to the Roman Catholic Church
Background:
As noted elsewhere in this section a transgendered individual is a person who experiences sustained Gender Identity Disorder (a.k.a. GID, Gender Dysphoria), Their genetic gender is different from their perceived gender. Some describe themselves as a woman trapped in a man's body, or vice versa. Others view themselves as having a male brain in a female body, or vice versa.
There are two obvious ways to resolve this conflict:
4. http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/vat...-define-gender
NEW YORK, March 17 (C-FAM) The annual UN women’s commission ended a week late with opposite sides forming over how to treat gender.
While the theme of the meeting was the non-controversial issue of women in science and technology, negotiations were unexpectedly fraught with ideological disagreements over the concept of gender, and the usual debate over issues related to sexuality.
At the final meeting, the European Union and the Holy See made statements that reflected the opposing views that clashed throughout the commission. The Holy See stressed that in international law, the only binding definition of gender is contained in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, which states that “the term ‘gender’ refers to the two sexes, male and female, within the context of society. The term ‘gender’ does not indicate any meaning different” from the aforementioned definition.”
The Holy See praised the many delegations who affirmed the traditional understanding of gender and warned that “the international community should be aware that this agenda to re-define “gender,” in turn, calls into question the very foundation of the human rights system.”

Re: Andrej Pejic (Androgeny)
Addendum to post #13.
1. Positive liberty - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Prison.jpg" class="image">
Positive liberty is defined as the power and resources to act to fulfill one's own potential (this may include freedom from internal constraints);[1] as opposed to negative liberty, which is freedom from external restraint.[2]In a description of positive liberty from the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy,
Put in the simplest terms, one might say that a democratic society is a free society because it is a self-determined society, and that a member of that society is free to the extent that he or she participates in its democratic process. But there are also individualist applications of the concept of positive freedom. For example, it is sometimes said that a government should aim actively to create the conditions necessary for individuals to be self-sufficient or to achieve self-realization.[3]Although being out of prison is necessary to negative liberty, this is insufficient to guarantee positive liberty
2. Negative liberty - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Negative liberty is defined as freedom from interference by other people, and is set in contrast to positive liberty which is defined as an individual's freedom from inhibitions of the social structure within the society such as classism, sexism or racism and is primarily concerned with the possession of sociological agency. According to Thomas Hobbes, "a free man is he that in those things which by his strength and wit he is able to do is not hindered to do what he hath the will to do" (Leviathan, Ch. XXI, [2], thus alluding to liberty in its negative sense).

Re: Andrej Pejic (Androgeny)
If he wanted to transition, and there is nothing published that says that he is interested in transitioning at this point, he could become a very beautiful TS woman. With breast augmentation and hormones he would become a truly gorgeous TS.
