Good stuff, Niccolo, but Helloween were no Hair Metal band.

I stil have their first album - Look What the Cat Dragged In - on vinyl (do any of you young 'uns remember real records, eh?):

The day I bought the album (in a record shop called Shades, in London), I met Lars Ulrich from Metallica, who popped into the aforementioned record shop (it specialised in prog rock, hard rock and heavy metal). I still have the copy of Ride the Lightning that he autographed for me...

They were as close as I got, I guess. Did you ever hear Michael Kiske's acoustic versions of some of the old Helloween songs?

No, I didn´t, Niccolo. I was never a huge Helloween fan but nothing by them sounds like Hair Metal to me. However, I´ve got no problem with you categorizing them so.
