Having read the books...I think it was done quite well. I think most of the casting has been spot on also...so far.

The Stark family has been beheaded (only once literally), unless that bastard kid kills a dragon or too later (I have no idea what happens).

All I know most everyone will end up dead, Sopranos/Goodfellas style. Or so I hope.
