    Talking Pictures or Thumbnails??

Personally, I liked the thumbnails better. Too much side-scrolling with the pictures makes them a pain in the ass to look at, IMO.

    So what do you think?

Makes threads much easier to skim through.

Since the forum has decided as of April 9th to make the limit for pics posted at 97.7 kb. for jpg, I will go with thumbnails. I cannot post larger pics easily anymore..I wish I could but the forum has decided to make the pics smaller, so I am forced to go with thumbnails as an alternative.

I prefer pics, but if you could re-size them to fit an upper limit, that would be ideal.

Is there a way to set the horizontal margins on a page so that uploaded pics require viewers to scroll down, not across?

I was looking for an option like that in the user CP.....couldn't find anything relevant, unless I missed something

I choose pics.Thumbnails are too small.reasonably sized pics are fine.the only trouble is that too many people post overly large pics, which even with screen set on highest resolution, still require you to scroll to see the pic.If it can be viewed complete on screen without scrolling it's fine.If you gotta scroll then it's too big. Those with overly large monitors need to consider that not all viewing the pics have big screens, especially if they are using a laptop.

It doesn't require a PHD to resize a pic.

I don't know if the vboard software allows it but some forums will auto scale down pics embedded in posts to whatever width the window size allows. Then you just click on it to go to full size. That way there is never any side-scrolling when browsing threads, yet no tiny thumbnails to squint at.

And maybe its easier to withdraw from life
With all of its misery and wretched lies
If we're dead when tomorrow's gone
The Big Machine will just move on
Still we cling afraid we'll fall
Clinging like the memory which haunts us all

Pictures are much easier to view. If you want to see the unadultered full-scale thing, you should be going to the originating web site.
