It happens more often in Brasil because they live in a heteronormative society. Much like in Iran, gay men are persecuted, while any form of man and female relationship is more acceptable. Obviously I am not saying transgender individuals are accepted with open arms, but it does explain your point.

There may be some who do that, but my guess is the majority of TGs transitioned for much deeper reasons than financial opportunities.

it should be fairly easy to transition from guy to TS given you are young and hormones would have a significant effect on you...but after the age of 30 I doubt it will be that easy although I'm not saying it's impossible...
