On top of being an overall accomplished musician/songwriter my man Prince is also one hell of a guitar player. Here's a sample....

Lots of old farts listed so far.

I think Tom Morello of RATM/Audioslave is one of the best in the last 20 years.

Stevie Ray Vaughan. Head and shoulders above anyone else.

    Then followed by
    Buddy Guy
    B B King
    Albert King
    Freddie King
    Bonnie Raitt
    Steve Howe
    David Gilmour
    Jimmy Page
    Ritchie Blackmore
EC only when he sticks to the Blues though.
    Duane Allman
    FZ
    Peter Green
    Steve Vai
    Joe Satriani

Well those are my faves and there are tons of other excellent guitarists out there.

    Almost forgot these two...awesome.

    Rodrigo y Gabriela

I prefer visual/audio aides with my picks. Here's a monster attacking the Country genre flippantly and reverently. Boils down to good, wholesome guitar fun, though.
