a yankee fan is never wrong, who owns the ball clubs like the pirates, cubs, phillies, all have tons of money, u think the yankees had all that in the past. a player still has to play and the other teams sucked. you have to spend money to make money and the the yankees know how to do it.

Of the 2009 rosters, the Yankees had 13 of 25 players as "homegrown talent" (e.g. players who were drafted and/or came up through the minor league system).
The Phillies? They had 9 of 25 players.
